The satisfaction.

The SteppIR antenna is mounted at a 25 meter high Versa tower on a mountain, there is good sight in all directions.

And the best of all, there is no man made noise on no off the bands!

The bad business!

The antenna stops funktion after 4 months.

It's no longer function because of a failure with one of the 3 motors.

Plastic parts have been fall apart innside the motor housing.

The gear shaft failure

The cogwheel stops, and the copper band stop moving!

The antenna will not be tuned and the SWR get high

Notice the the small splitt pin that rotate under the lower cogwheel, normaly this splitt pin should go through the plast shaft. Here the plast shaft have gone apart and the antenne stop funktion

Look for very small cracks in the plast shaft!

Here is the reflector element motor housing!

Under the lower coghweel there is a very small crack!

Despite for using the antenna for only 4 mounths.

The plastic components will soon fall appart, and the antenna will be broken!

In addition the reflector element get broken in gale force wind around 44 knots (around 22 m/s).

This is mutch lower that was expected from the the factory statement.

It's get broken about 50 cm from the motor housing.

I'am unsure of the quality of the fiberglass tube , it's seem to be very thin and fragile.

I'l take the tube down to boat fabric that work with fiberglass, maybe it is possible to get it stronger
